Paradigms & philosophy of science (positivist/interpretivist/critical, etc.)
Why It Matters
My CS training assumes one objective truth (bug/no bug). Management research allows multiple truths (interpretivism). I must defend my choice to view reality as 'socially constructed' via AI.
What To Learn
Ontology vs. Epistemology: What is reality vs. how we know it.
Positivism vs. Interpretivism vs. Critical Realism: Where does 'Sociomateriality' sit? (Usually Critical Realism or strong Interpretivism).
The trade-off between Generalizability, Accuracy, and Simplicity (Thorngate's imposture).
